About Revolution…a recent conversation

Him: “Ya know, leading up to 1776, there was a lot of thinking and discussion and compromise before they felt the need to start shooting.” Me: “Right – but all those considerations were only debated among the few intellectually adroit. Like today, the Majority didn’t know or didn’t want to know. Today, you can see them waving their “Ignorance Is Bliss” flags or sporting their “Yawn for Apathy” bumper stickers.” Him: “Well, I maintain that the forces for goodwill ultimately win out.” Me: “If you believe those “forces of goodwill” exist within Government and will solve the problems caused by Government is naïve at best, and dangerous at worst . To believe those “forces” exist outside Government is to endorse Revolution – not that there’s anything wrong with that - although historically, Revolution doesn’t assume peaceful solutions. Governments don’t abide Revolutions of any flavor; people will be killed.” Him: “What we need is for Donald Trump or one of his acolytes with his values and i

My friend and colleague, Judge Andrew Napolitano, invited me back to his podcast  t o discuss my "Name Two Things" piece (below) .

What is the Most Important Word?

What is the Most Important Word? In a recent YTBPF* Poll, the result from among all respondents was a virtual tie: Love 49% Hope 49% Faith 1% Rambilicus 1% *Yet To Be Paid For Remarkably, out of the 5,298,812 polled, not one mentioned the correct answer! This in itself is an indictment of our society and a leading indicator of how things became FUBAR, to borrow a popular acronym. For those still wondering, our Most Important Word is: Why You are most likely proving its status right now by asking “Why” is “Why” our Most Important Word? Why that’s quite simple. Without “why”, Ignorance would abound, even more ubiquitous than it is already; Aggressive Ignorance has already reached pandemic proportions rivaling the Dreaded COVID – but at least “AI” has a cure: Facts. Without ‘Why”, we miss knowing the most important answers. Where, When, Who and How don’t hold a candle to “Why”; in fact, most ar

About Baba Dioum

Does the name Baba Dioum strike a familiar note? Dioum, 84, a Senegalese forestry engineer, authored one of the greatest insights into human nature during a 1968 speech in New Delhi on – of all things - Agricultural Development. “In the end, we will conserve only what we love, we will love only what we understand and we will understand only what we’re taught.” It’s amazing how much human nature can be revealed in a speech on agriculture conservation. His summary observation reveals a compelling question. If we “understand only what we’re taught”, who is our “teacher”? To instruct us all the way to “the end”, such an instructor would have to be our constant companion, every day, everywhere, anywhere, all the time – 24-7-365. Who could that be? Our parents oversee us 20 years or so; school teachers 6, 12, 18 years tops but, even then, for only a few hours daily and only for a fraction of the year. Who teaches us what’s good, bad, ugly; what all the cool kids are doing, what’s happening a

A Short FB Exchange

De Per something Machiavelli points out repeatedly Discourses is that liberty actually works very well, both for the ruled and the rulers, men just don't believe that, and cowardly choose tyranny, with terrible results. Tyrants are regularly slain. Just rulers tend to live quite a long time and produce great results. You just have to show the courage to accept and acknowledge there are things you can and shouldn't control.  Reply Brian Wilson <<liberty actually works very well, both for the ruled and the rulers>>  Kinda oxymoronic, isn't it? Those 'ruled' only receive the 'liberty' the 'rulers' pemit- and they 'permit' it thru Force which negates Liberty. <<...show the courage to accept and acknowledge there are things you can't and shouldn't control. >>  Those are my decisions to make - or not - as a Free Individual enjoying Liberty, not forced upon me by the subjective standards of an imposed tyrant, good or

Name 2 Things

Here’s a little game I used to play with listeners on my talk show. The goal was to compel them to think about the Government, its size, the pervasiveness of its laws, and smothering regulations. The challenge: Name the 2 things you come in contact with every day that are not taxed, regulated, embargoed, licensed, restricted, or prohibited by the Government Invariably, the phone lines exploded! Unfortunately, the majority of callers usually misunderstood the most important part of the challenge: “…you come in contact with…”. As a result, ‘contestants’ would name “ love”, “sunrise and sunset” and similar misses. (In a tactile sense, you don’t come in contact with ‘love’ and there is Daylight Saving Time). Others would try “children”, “air”, “water” – as if kids aren’t subject to taxes, compulsory education, and a boatload of age-specific rules; air and water have their own mountain of pollution laws, water and ‘wetlands’ regulations. Invariably, there would come “sex”, “economics”, “Gov

CP+MSM=T -- A Formula for Understanding

Say there, Friend…have you been searching for an answer to ‘What the hell is going on?’ Do you find yourself saying repeatedly “This doesn’t make any sense!” Or using ‘WTF?’ in your business letters and Mother’s Day cards? Understanding the simple formula above can solve the problem. CP stands for the Cloward-Piven Strategy, a 1966 political concept conceived by two American sociologists, Richard Cloward and Frances Piven (who also led an active activist life moonlighting from their gig at Columbia U.). The idea was based on their belief lotsa folks eligible for Welfare bennies weren’t getting their spot at the public-provided trough. To resolve that tragedy, they needed to foment a sign-up campaign so large, the sheer numbers would blow the doors off the administrating agencies, creating a crisis so big, it would shake awake the DC bureaucrats and emotionally driven Democrats, always sensitive to trading Boo-Hoos and Temper Fits for votes, government expansion, involvement, and depend

Words In Pain

My Dear Doctor, Like you I believe in a higher power, but, unlike yours, mine is not a kind fatherly one. It is Nature, who with all its forces, beauties and necessary evils, rules our destinies according to its own irrevocable laws. I can love that power for the beauty it has brought into the world, and admire it for the strength that makes us understand how futile and useless it would be to appeal to it in prayer. But towards a kind and fatherly God, who, being almighty, prefers to leave us in misery, when by his mere wish he could obtain the same end without so much suffering, I feel a great revolt and bitterness. Nature makes us know that it cannot take into individual consideration the atoms we are, and for her I have no blame; no more than I could think of blaming you for having during your walks stepped on and killed many a worm (it was a pity the worm happened to be under your foot); but if during these walks your eyes were resting on the beauties of skies and trees, or your mi

About those "Polls"

What does "validity" mean when used in a proper scientific or statistical fashion? Validity answers a simple question. To what extent does this study or poll actually help us understand what it says it will help us understand? A well-conducted poll, with large sample size and unbiased questions, will be Valid, in that it Adds Knowledge. A small poll, with biased questions, given at after an emotional event has zero validity, it's can't actually inform you of anything. Political polling has been an absolute nightmare, they were actually worse at predicting this last election than they were in 2016. Trump wasn't even supposed to come close. Why are they off so by so much? Well, part of it is that these polls are not Valid to be used as predictions of the actual election until maybe the last week or better yet the last day. In fact, their Validity goes up with each hour closer to the election, but you wouldn't know that from the people who talk about them weeks b

Stopping Armageddon or The Risk of Parsing Hope

A prolific and talented writer, personal and philosophical comrade (who must remain anonymous for a variety of reasons), concluded in one of his recent pieces: "None of this will end easily, and of course, there will be no government savior, no political god to save humanity, and no voluntary backing down by the powerful. Voting is irrelevant, as is the court system for the most part. What is necessary in order to stop this tyrannical takeover is the will of the people, and the courage en masse to just say no. Disobey at every turn, do not follow any orders by government, whether local, state, or federal concerning any draconian measures sought by these monsters. More restrictions are coming; they are not gone for good. Expect more quarantines, expect immunity or passport permits for living, expect every conceivable method of fear-based propaganda, expect more lockdowns. Then understand that economic chaos is also coming, with extreme inflation, false flag cyber-attacks, food shor

Read It or Don't

Concerned about the state of America? Your future? Kids' future? Ever wonder about the means and motives of 'Government' and its obsession with Power and Control? Ever think the Gloom & Doom Stories were to sell newspapers and create TV shows? Maybe not. Bill & Matt Sardi's piece below provides a wealth of material explaining the News is not good. Not good at all... BW While the public is told the preconceived COVID-19 pandemic is a calamity of unfolding proportion, that emanates from a deadly mutated virus that appears to have been “invented” in a laboratory and targets octogenarians in particular, and the proposed antidote is mandated vaccination that may have more heinous consequences than the virus itself, there is another faction that sees this catastrophe differently.  Those who know what this pandemic is really all about – insurance actuaries. It’s about balancing the accounting books.  It is why progressive globalists tell us we need a reset – a financia

The Revelation?

Rumors on rumors, stories on stories, rumors on stories, corrections, contradictions, "orders", "suggestions", distortions, misinformation and outright lies have been- and continue to be - the main features of Everything Covid for 2 years. The only Truth: There Is No Truth - nothing discernable anyway. Every published fact has been denied, 'debunked', de-platformed.  Personally, I puzzled over Where are the attorneys? The Courts? The Media  ?(forget that one). Finally, the last bastion of Fact and Accuracy came forward last night (5/10) with what many be truly called a "Blockbuster" of a story. In reaction, the deafening silence today is the biggest proof the story is spot on. No one has been able to contradict it. The vilification of Tucker Carlson coming next, will be the proof of the facts he presented. View here

The View From Here

from  George McClellan It appears everything in Washington is crooked and on the take. Not just Congress but the FBI, the CIA, the Justice Department, the Pentagon, the Generals, literally everyone in Washington including those in the past administration. Add to all this Silicon Valley and the social media, cable news, a biased media, and foreign intervention. These groups amalgamated to become the Deep State. President Trump didn’t have a chance. He walked into this mess four years ago and tried to clean the swamp. But the swamp monster ate him alive piece by piece starting on Day 1. Unfortunately his actions over the past few weeks in disputing the election had a small roll for the events at the capital. All the good he did over the past four years wiped away. He’s a marked man for the rest of his life!!! So where does he go now? Where can he live? What is the impact on his family. As one top general said yesterday, he’s a great leader without a country. The changes that are

As Seen on Facebook

Despite its legions of drawbacks, Facebook is still the primary congregator of commentary that occasionally produces something compelling, informative, revealing, unique, insightful. You decide. Here's a recent post that - remarkably - drew little response.... "I'm by no means a tough talker or an advocate for violence when others avenues remain available, but we have to draw a line somewhere with respect to rights. If we believe that the 2nd Amendment was created to protect the rights of the people from an over-reaching government, then we have to believe that there comes a time to use it. There can be no clearer time then when the government attempts to strip rights from its citizens, even if by some esoteric legal argument they are able to justify it to themselves. If this passes and, by some measure, it is upheld by the Supreme Court, we will have to decide as citizens if we're going to use our 2nd Amendment rights as intended or give them up and comply. The decisi

Who's the Blond?

These pictures prompted a small avalanche of msgs all asking the same question: “Who’s the blond!” Rather than provide her name, address, measurements, and phone number (now 42 years later), here’s the bigger story of who she was, how she got there, what was going on, and what was Dudley Moore like anyway? BW The blockbuster movie 10 , starring Dudley Moore, Julie Andrews, and bombshell Bo Derrick debuted in Atlanta. The distributor, a movie mogul of local fame, tapped Z-93’s hot AM drive team, Ross & Wilson, to host the opening festivities, featuring Atlanta’s 10 , a beauty contest outside the theater opening night. A week before, we were booked at a popular watering hole to host what was originally dubbed as Atlanta’s Best Butt  contest, sponsored by a certain blue jean maker and its Atlanta outlet. For obvious publicity purposes, the name was changed to Atlanta’s Best Jeans . Of course, no one caught on! The evening of the contest had my partner and me on a flatbed tra

Rush and Me

If you're an Accidental Tourist visiting from some other celestial rock, you don't know the significance of the passing of Rush Limbaugh (2/17/21). Look it up. You'll find everything from long-winded laudatory to wretchedly putrid bias. Political punditry has a way of bringing out the best in people and worst in scum. I should know - having frittered away 55 years of an otherwise exemplary life, making meters bounce and management cringe at some of America's Heritage radio stations in Major Markets across the country. Fortunately, audiences were more tolerant most of those pre-Cancel Culture years and the worst I suffered was the occasionally Breached Contract, otherwise known as Delayed Compensation (if you have decent attorneys - an oxymoron, I know). But I digress...My on-air relationship with El Rushbo is detailed highlighted in my book, " 50 Stories: 50 Years in Radio ." For the incurably inquisitive, here is the show from Atlanta, October 1990.   Profess

Our Deep State

Once the lawmakers of a nation become corrupt, then nothing works properly anymore, no matter the energy applied and thus, the impeachment trial is a good revelatory test bed for Americans to discover the calibre of folks in congress, where the fate of the nation is actually decided. We've been provided that opportunity but do we as a people, possess the morality and responsibility to take stock of the quality of our congressional representation and make the necessary changes? No, we don't. As for the deep state, every nation on earth has a "deep state", they're the roots of the ability of a nation, just like trees have roots and thus, the problem is not that we have a deep state, an inevitability for any old enough nation, but whether our deep state is noble or depraved, or as often occurs, merely competent. In our situation, we have a "deep state" (establishment..) that's depraved, ignorant of history, incompetent at management, and worst of all, v

Know Government; No Government Revisted

One again, it can be stated with certainty: there is no compelling reason for Government. If we confined the examination just to the beginning of 2020 and the 'arrival' of the so-call 'pandemic', there would be ample evidence to prove the point. The misinformation, disinformation, 'flip-flopping' reversals, inconsistencies and outright lies told repeatedly by so-called 'experts' and Government ‘officials’, elected, appointed and ‘career’, are boundless. It was done before the Public, repeatedly, in broad daylight vis mainstream media. Thousands of wanton deaths of the elderly and infirmed, literally imprisoned in nursing homes by questionably legal – but certifiably immoral - Government 'Executive Orders", strikes one mute. One only has to consider the megalomaniacal sociopath NY Governor Andrew Cuomo, whose addiction to power and the media spotlight had the unmitigated gall to pen a self-promoting, self-aggrandizing book touting 'leadershi
